OUR STORY
The Ceipemsa company was born in 1948 in Milan with the aim to represent and commercialize high quality products from foreign tanneries.
1955
The company Italcei was born in 1955 with the goal to commercialize specialized exotic leathers while Ceipemsa was in charge of representing more traditional hides.
1987
Italhide was founded and replaced Italcei in the commercialization of fine exotic leathers of high quality.
1999
In order to face a more and more demanding market, Italhide incorporated Ceipemsa by acquiring all its suppliers and representatives.
This has allowed to offer customers a large range of products for the realization of all production lines while keeping internally a high level of specialization on exotic and niche products.
2020
In 2020, Italhide entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with White Line, a dynamic tannery based in San Miniato, specializing in exotic leathers, including crocodile, caiman, lizard, and ostrich skins.
As part of this strategic partnership, Italhide’s production facility was closed, with its machinery, proprietary formulas, and expertise transferred to White Line, which also became the official third-party manufacturer for Italhide.
This collaboration allows Italhide to continue meeting the diverse needs of its customers while expanding its product range to encompass all commercially available crocodile species.
By combining the production and commercial expertise of both companies, the partnership further elevates the quality of the services and products that Italhide can offer to its clients.
2007
In 2007, Italhide decided to launch its own productive project by acquiring ad hoc machinery and employing specialized technicians in processing reptiles skins, in a tannery on the outskirts of Milan which now do tannings and finishings for its own costumers. Italhide answer quickly and in adapted way to the requests from the most exigent clients and the research for “custom-made” articles like no other provider of the market.
